Project-related cooperation with colleges and universities	Es bestehen nationale und internationale Kooperationen z.B. mit dem Universitätsklinikum Jena, der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover, der Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, TU Dresden, University of Twente, Macquarie University. Zusätzlich bestehen Kooperationen mit dem IFW Jena und dem IBA.
Initiation and management of uni-centric/multi-centric clinical/scientific studies	Die Ärztinnen und Ärzte führen eigeninitiierte klinische Studien vor allem im Bereich Orthopädie durch. Diese fokussieren sich hauptsächlich auf den menschlichen Bewegungsapparat aber auch auf die Prophylaxe periprothetischer Infektionen und deren Therapie.
Lectureships / teaching posts at universities of applied sciences	An der Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena werden im Fachbereich Gesundheit und Pflege Vorlesungen und Seminare zum Themenbereich Pflegemanagement angeboten.
Student training (clinical traineeship / internship year)	Es werden Famulaturen in Bereichen Anästhesie, Innere Medizin, Chirurgie und Orthopädie angeboten. Darüber hinaus absolvierten 8 Studierende ihr Praktisches Jahr im Jahr 2024.
Lectureships / teaching posts at colleges and universities	Mit den Professuren für Orthopädie und experimentelle Orthopädie der Medizinischen Fakultät der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena wird die orthopädische Lehre mit Vorlesungen und studentischen Praktika abgedeckt.
Doctoral supervision	2024 haben 5 Promovierende im Bereich der Professur für Orthopädie den akademischen Grad Dr. med. erworben. Daneben werden 10 Doktoranden in der Biomechanik und Biologie betreut, die den akademischen Grad Dr. rer. medic. anstreben und 2 Studierende aus dem Bereich Maschinenbau von der EAH in Jena.
